West Va.), maiden name of mother Jane Gilchrist (b. Pittsberg [Pittsburgh], Pa.), interment 8 Jun, undertaker East Side Funeral Dir., Portland, informant Miss Marie Rockwell of Portland.

OBITUARY: 

Mrs. Emma Virginia Rockwell, 79. 131 East Nineteenth street, died yesterday after an extended illness. She was the widow of Glycon Allen Rockwell, and had been a resident of Portland for 25 years.
Mrs. Rockwell was born at Wellsville, O., February 27, 1848. She was the sixth child of Mr. and Mrs. Ebin Taylor Albert. August 24, 1869 she was married to Mr. Rockwell at Lansing, Ia. In 1891 they moved to Salem, then to Moro and later to Portland. Mrs. Rockwell was identified with the Presbyterian church and was active in various branches of its work here.
Mrs. Rockwell contracted a severe cold while visiting in the east last fall. This combined with a chronic ailment resulted in her death. Besides an adopted daughter, Marie A. Rockwell, she leaves two brothers, Thomas G. Albert of Salem and George W. Albert of Lansing, Ia. 
Funeral services will be held at the Central Presbyterian church, East Thirty-second and Ankeny streets, at 1 P.M. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Odd Fellow's cemetery at Salem.
