OBITUARY: 
Duncan Ross died at his residence, 2100 No. Commercial, June 20, at the age of 75 years. He is survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. Mollie Chaefer of Salem, Mrs. Catherine Ross of Ohio, Mrs. Thomas Watson of B.C., Mrs. A. J. Adams of Ontario, and a brother, James Ross, of Ontario. The funeral services will be held from Webb’s Funeral Parlors Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in I.O.O. F. cemetery.

Duncan Ross, a pioneer of Salem, died early Wednesday morning, June 20, 1923, at the home of his sister at 2100 north Commercial street, at the age of 76 years. Mr. Ross is survived by four sisters: Mrs. Mattie Phoefer of Salem, Mrs. Thomas Watson of Victoria, B. C., Katherine Ross of Ohio, and Mrs. A. J. Adams of Easen, Ontario; also a brother, James Ross of Lucan, Ontario, Canada.  Funeral services will be held from the Webb funeral parlors on Friday morning, June 22, at 10:30 o’clock, with Chemeketa chapter I.O.O.F. of which Mr. Ross was a member, in charge. Interment will be in the lodge cemetery.
