OBITUARY: 
MRS. ROY, 81, TAKEN BY DEATH 
Mrs. Roberta Ray Roy, who first came to Salem during World War I, died Friday in a Salem hospital at the age of 81. She had been a resident of Methodist Home for 11 years. Mrs. Roy was employed at Salem General Hospital as a nurse for several years after coming to Salem from Missouri. She and Schuyler Kightlinger of Salem were married in the early 1920s and several years after his death she and Charles Roy were married. They lived in Polk county near West Salem for several years, then at Cutler City and later at McMinnville, where Roy died. He was buried in Salem Pioneer Cemetery. Mrs. Roy was born Dec. 31, 1876, at Hannibal, Mo. She leaves three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Dora Barendrick and Mrs. Ella Cameron, both of McMinnville, and Mrs. Minnie Nelson, Portland and one brother-in-law, Walter Roy, Vancouver, Wash. Arrangements are pending at W. T. Rigdon's Mortuary.

Mrs. Roberta Roy Services Monday Funeral services for Mrs. Roberta Ray Roy, Methodist Home resident who died Friday at the age of 81, will be 3 p.m. Monday in W. T. Rigdon's Mortuary, Rev. W. Harold Lyman officiating. Burial will be in Salem Pioneer Cemetery.
