OBITUARY: 
DENCER -- At his home at Liberty, Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 28, 1900, of brights disease, Jacob Dencer, aged about 45 years. Deceased was born in Ohio 45 years ago, and came to Oregon in 1874, settling on a farm near Liberty, where he has made his home since. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his death, all of whom were with him until death. Funeral with leave the residence tomorrow at 10 a.m., and services will be held in Liberty school house at 11 a.m., Rev. Ketchum offficiating. Burial will take place in Rural cemetery. At 11 o'clock this morning funeral services will be conducted over the remains of the late Jacob Dencer, at the Liberty school house, south of this city. Burial will take place in the Ood Fellows' cemetery. Oregon Statesman 2 Mar 1900 8:3
