OBITUARY: At the family residence on 19th street, between Bellevue and Oak, at 11:30 P.M., Friday, Feb. 11, 1898, of paralysis, Salinah H. Denham, aged 65 years.
Deceased was the wife of Thomas Denham, the well-known carpenter and contractor, and a sister of Mrs. Emma Penton, both of Salem. Her maiden name was Shoot and she was born in Lexington, Kentucky. Her father was a pastor of the Christian denomination, to which she also belonged, having become a member of the church at Seattle, while residing there a few years ago. Twenty-five years ago she became the wife of Mr. Denham and in 1876 they came to Salem which has been their home city most of the time since.
She was an aunt of R. L. and Harry J. Penton, the bill-posters and expressmen here for some time.
No arrangements have yet been made for the funeral.
