OBITUARY: 
RYAN - In Los Angeles, Cal., Oct. 10, 1914, John M. Ryan, husband of Ella W. Ryan, aged 74 years. The funeral announcement will be given later.
Deceased was a resident of Salem for many years. He was the father of Mrs. Arthur W. Moore of Salem, Mrs. R. Diller, G. S. Woodford, Henry D., A. L., John M., E. W. and Aurthur Ryan, all of Portland.

Funeral services will be held over the remains of John N. Ryan who died in Los Angeles, Oct. 10, Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in Lehman and Clough's undertaking parlors. Rev. R. F. Tischer, pastor of the Unitarian church, will officiate.  The services will be private. The burial will take place in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, under the auspices of the local Odd Fellows' lodge, of which order the deceased was a member.
