OBITUARY: 
SAKOO-On the Silverton road, Sunday, February 19, 1911, Chas. Sakoo, aged 35, heart failure. Deceased was a Japanese and was cooking at a camp. The remains are at the Cottage undertaking parlors. The man appeared to be without friends.

Japanese Funeral Service--A Japanese funeral service was held at the Cottage undertaking parlors last evening over the remains of Charles Sako, a Japanese laborer, who will be buried Friday. An interesting part of the service was the cutting of a lock of the dead man's hair and two of his finger nails, which will be sent to Japan where services will be held by the parents of the deceased.
