Also enumerated with the family is a farm laborer, Samuel Johnson, age 30, b. Canada, and farm laborer Louis Capsel, age 34, b. Illinois.
1900 OR CENSUS - Mort Savage, age 62, occupation farmer, b. Feb 1838 in Michigan, is enumerated with his wife of 35 years, Sarah, age 54, mother of 10 children 8 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. OBITUARY: 
SAVAGE--At hjis home near Rosedale, Or., on July 22, Mortimer R. Savage at the age of 83. He was the son of Towner Savage, an old Oregon pioneer, who crossed the plains in 1846. He is survived by five sons and two daughters: Mrs. Cora Perry of Portland, Mrs. Frank Lundy of Rosedale, Lloyd Savage of Orville, James C. Savage of Salem, Douglas Savage of Rosedale, Lloyd Savage of Orville, and Frank Savage of Bend. Funeral services will be held in the Rigdon chapel Monday, July 25, at 2 o'clock, Rev. W. T. Milliken officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery. Services will be in charge of L. T. Rigdon undertaking parlors. Oregon Statesman 23 July 1921 5:2
