OBITUARY: 
SERIOUSLY ILL. 
Mrs. George Savage, residing northeast of Salem, has been ill with typhoid fever since the 24th ult., and yesterday, her condition was reported as very serious. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Walker, now of Pasadena, California, have been sent for and are, now en route to her bedside. They will arrive Sunday morning.

At the family residence, one mile east of the state fair grounds, at 1 a.m., Sunday, December 15, 1895, Sarah, wife of George O. Savage, aged 36 years. Deceased was taken ill with typhoid fever on the 24th of November and her condition becoming quite serious, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Walker, now of Pasadena, Cal., were sent for and they arrived on the 6 o’clock overland train, five hours after her demise. She leaves a husband and three children. The funeral will be held at the residence at 11 o’clock this morning, the service to be conducted by Rev. P.S. Knight. Interment will be in Rural cemetery. Oregon Statesman 17 December 1895 8:4
