OBITUARY: 
The funeral of Percy Scott, son of Capt. J. J. [sic] Scott, a former postmaster, county sheriff and prominent politician of this city, occurred at twelve o’clock today at the family lot in the Odd Fellows cemetery. He died at Portland June 3rd of quick consumption and the remains were brought to Salem on the morning train. Weekly Oregon Statesman 6 Jun 1901
