OBITUARY: 
ELVERTA "Mintie" BROHM, June 22, 1910 - May 6, 1997. Livermore, California 
Elverta Brohm, 86, died Tuesday in Manteca, California. She was born in Philomath and served in the Waves from 1943 to 1946. She graduated from Salem High School, and taught in Oregon Schools. After World War II she worked in an Oakland veterans hospital and in the Lutheran Home for the Developmentally Disabled in Porterville, California. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and active nationally in Lutheran Women's Ministries. She received the Jefferson Award for her work with the developmentally disabled. 
Her husband, Ted, whom she married in 1950, died in 1971. Survivors include her daughter Pat Henning of Arnold, California; brother, Jerry Minton of Brooks; sisters, Daisy Tweeddale of Kansas City, Missouri and Donna Lang of Salem; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Pioneer Cemetery in Salem. (newspaper obituary attached to authorization for burial).
