OBITUARY: 
Virgil Eugene Burson April 20, 1905 - March 15, 1990. PORTLAND--Virgil Eugene Burson, 84, died Thursday. Born in Portland, he attended schools in Dallas. He lived in Salem from 1924 until 1989 when he returned to Portland. He was a paper manufacturing supervisor for Boise Cascade in Salem for 43 years before retiring in 1970. Survivors include his wife Viola; sons, C. Thomas of Portland, and Richard J. and Kermit U., both of Salem; daughter V. Carol Traegerson of Salem; and sister, Ruby Williams of Portland. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salem. Private committal service will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Salem. Contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements are by Zellar mortuary. Statesman Journal 16 Mar 1990.
