OBITUARY: CORVALLIS-- Corinne R. Durbin, 103, died Friday at a local care home.
She was born in Gervais and was a lifetime resident of Oregon. She taught school in the Pratum area before moving to Portland in 1919. In 1937, she moved to Corvallis. In 1964, she took a trip around the world with friends.
Her husband, Fred W. Durbin Sr., died in 1945. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Sol Durbin of Corvallis and Fred W. Durbin of Menlo Park, Calif; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Rigdon-Ransom mortuary. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery. Contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's and Related Disease Association.
