OBITUARY: 
Royal Winston Keefer Sept. 16, 1906 - Aug. 11, 1995. 
Royal Keefer, 88, of Salem died in Portland on Friday. A Keizer native, he graduated from Willamette University and lived in Salem until 1945. He was a master gardener for the Portland Parks Department until he retired in 1972. In 1973, he moved to Yachats and lived there until 1980, when he returned to Salem. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. His first wife, Eleanor, died in 1968. His second wife, Eva, died in 1990. Survivors include daughter; Myra Terziev of San Francisco; sons, Bruce of Wilsonville, Harry and Neal, both of Portland, Boyd of Gaston and Paul of San Francisco; sisters, Irma Bunnell and Mary Keefer, both of Salem; and 11 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Barrick mortuary, Salem. Private interment will be in Salem Pioneer Cemetery.
