OBITUARY: 
At her home, 639 Center street, Salem, Or., May 31, 1915, Mrs. Alice James, aged 72 years. Mrs. James was born in Gettysburg, Penn., and is survived by one daughter, Mabel, of Salem; two sisters, Mrs. S. M. Clark of Salem, and Mrs. Eliza Wierman, of Iowa; two brothers, Joel Hewitt, of Salem, and John W. Hewitt of South Dakota. The remains are in car of the Terwilleger Cottage parlors. The funeral services will be held Wednesday, further announcements to be made later.
