PROBATE: Marion Co. Probate File #601 William W. Bean died in the fall of 1853 in the desert on the way from Missouri to Oregon. David W. Bean, brother, is named the administrator in Nov. of 1876; heirs were: David Roberts, uncle (died 4 years previous to 6 Nov. 1876 in Liberty, Missouri); Napoleon B. Bean; James R. Bean; Obediah R. Bean; Robert M. Bean; David W. Bean; Susan F. Morris and Sarah A Reamer (all over 21 years of age and residents of Oregon).
DEATH CERTIFICATE: 
OBITUARY: 
DAVID BEAN -- Last evening the remains of David Bean were brought to this city for interment from East Portland. A few days since mention was made of his severe illness from a paralitic [sic] stroke from the effects of which he died yesterday at 10 a.m. A wife and two children to mourn the death of a kind husband and an effectionate [sic] father. Many are the warm friends that will shed a silent tear as they say peace to thy rest, friend David. Funeral services from the residence of Charles Calvert, Esq., to day at 2 p.m. Rev. Mr. Baker of the Baptist church officiating. Friends of the family are invited.
