DEATH CERTIFICATE:

|
OBITUARY: Death of Curley. James M. Curley has been known to surveyors and persons around the Land Offices for many years. He has lately become almost senseless and incapable from excessive use of liquor, having been proclaimed by the city authorities a common drunkard. Yesterday afternoon he entered the back door of the shoe store of J. B. Nichols, unperceived, and some time afterward, hearing a strange noise in the back room, Mr. Nichols entered it to find him in a dying condition. He lived an hour or so and died unconscious. Curley was a civil engineer by profession, and was accounted a most accomplished draughtsman. The worst that can be said of him is that he was an enemy to himself. He was so to no one else.
