JORYVILLE PARK -- Off Jory Hill Road, under an oak tree (only one in the field) a burial was made in 1862. This land belonged to the JORY family and has now been made into a county park. Ella Editha JORY, daughter of William JORY and Jane Eliza MOORE (grandparents of Victor JORY) died on the 31 August 1862 at the age of 4 years and 6 months. She was first buried here and then reburied [date not known] in the I.O.O.F (Salem Pioneer) Cemetery.
