OBITUARY:
REV. G. W. MINTON, BROOKS
Gerald Minton, 92, of Brooks, Ore., died Thursday evening.
Born in Albany, Ore., he lived in Oregon most of his life including Albany, Salem, Canby, Lincoln City, and Pendleton. He had been a pastor and evangelist, mostly with the Assemblies of God, since 1938. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Brooks; sisters, Daisy Tweeddale of Kansas City, and Donna Lane of Salem; sons, Jed of Port Orchard, Wash., Mark of Lynnwood, Wash., and Steve of Portland; daughters, Marilyn Wahl of Tucson, Ariz., Joyce Lunde and Etty Blaney both of Brooks; and 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 15 at Brooks Assembly of God Church. Private interment at Salem Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
