DEATH CERTIFICATE:

OBITUARY: In East Salem, on Monday, May 18, 1888, at 7 oclock, a.m. Mrs. Ella Bennett, aged 30 years of Brights disease. The deceased was the daughter of Capt. D. C. Howard and widow of Elbert Bennett, who was killed six years ago by a falling tree. She leaves two children, a boy of 11 and a girl of 9 years, to mourn their orphaned condition. She had been suffering for a long time and her death was not entirely unexpected. Her twin sister, Mrs. John Philips, arrived here from Newport yesterday too late to see her alive. Funeral services will be held at the M.E. church this afternoon at 2 oclock, and the remains will be interred in the I.O.O.F. cemetery under direction of the Sedgwick Relief Corps, of which she was a faithful member.
