OBITUARY: 

SILVERTON - Frank Henry Johnson was born on November 10, 1918, in Salem, OR, to Frank O. and Isabelle (Sim) Johnson. He served honorably in the United States Army from January 1942 until February 1946. On March 13, 1944, Frank married the love of his life, Mary Lorena Reiter. Frank and Mary spent their life in the Silverton area. Frank worked as a farmer throughout his life and greatly enjoyed farming in the North Howell area. He loved his family and valued spending time with them. Frank also had a fondness for traveling.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, wife and son, Gary.
He is survived by his son, Marlan (Linda) Johnson of Salem; granddaughter, Heather (Scott) Shetler of Brooks; grandson, Brice Johnson of Silverton; and great-grandchild, Nelson Shetler.
Services will be held at Unger Funeral Chapel, 229 Mill St., Silverton, on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Pioneer Cemetery in Salem. Memorials may be made to the Union Gospel Mission or Willamette Valley Hospice.
