Charlotte Mae Coffey, 85, of Kent, WA, passed away Feb. 24, 2018.

She was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Tillamook, OR, to Chester and Anna Moffitt. Charlotte graduated from South Salem High School in 1951 and married Ronald Coffey in 1952.

She worked at the Kalama Telephone Company for 25 years before retiring to the Puget Sound area, where she volunteered for the Seattle Children's Hospital Thrift Store in Kent, WA. Charlotte was a creative person who enjoyed crafting, flower arrangement, interior design and gardening. She also enjoyed sailing and skiing with her family. Her love of animals included dogs, goats, horses and especially her adored cats. She once fostered a dog for a homeless man she met in California. Her greatest love of all was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Charlotte was a loving Mom and Nana. She is survived by five children, Gretchen Procop of Kelso, WA, Pam Miller (Dood) of Kent, WA, Kurt Coffey (Carla) of Kalama, WA, Sigrid Gordon (Wayne) of Carlsbad, CA, and Kelly Sanders of Renton, WA; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Charlotte's life is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24 at Cedar Lodge, 21415 Renton-Maple Valley Road SE, in Maple Valley, WA.
