Excerpt from newspaper article re: 1912 New Years Eve celebration:
"Mr. Crane and his dainty little four-year-old daughter, Ethel Lou, posed a charming tableau of the old year greeting the new. This was a midnight, and when 1912 was well in, the little "New Year" went about among the guests extending them greeting. The family then gathered on the lawn and gave further welcome to the New Year with fireworks."
