SALEM WOMAN, 74 DIES in 12th St. CAR COLLISION
Helen Boehr, 74, 424 16th street. SE, died in a Salem hospital Thursday morning of injuries suffered in an 11:30 a.m. auto accident at 12th Street and Rural Avenue SE. According to Salem police, Mrs. Boehr was a passenger in a car driven by her son, Daniel Boehr, 48, same address. They said the Boehr vehicle was involved in a collision with a vehicle driven by Gary C. Cunningham, 35, 2080 Mission St. SE. Neither man was injured, police said, but Boehr was taken to Salem Hospital Memorial Unit for observation. No citations were issued Thursday. However, the accident remains under investigation, according to the police. Mrs. Boehr's death is the 32nd traffic fatality in Marion County and 95th in the Mid-Willamette Valley this year. Her body was taken to Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary.

HELEN BOEHR--Services for Helen Boehr, 74, of 424 16th St. SE, who died Thursday in a Salem hospital after a traffic accident, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery. She was born in Mountain Lake, Minn., and came to Salem from Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1955. She was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Survivors include widower, John, sons, Lewis, Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada; Ben, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; Dan, Salem; sisters, Sara Lewis, Dallas; Martha Trelvin and Bertha Lewis, both of Saskatoon, and a sister in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; brothers, Ben and Sam Kroker, both of Saskatoon, three grandaughters.
