OBITUARY:
BOON - At her residence, 231 Center street, in Salem, Or., Wednesday, March 23, 1892, at 5:30 a.m., Mrs. Duena A. Boon, aged 42 years, 2 months and 17 days. The death was the result of inflammation of the stomach and bowels. Mrs. Boon was born in Shelba county, Missouri, and emigrated to Oregon with her parents, Major H. Jones and wife, in the year 1860, settling in Marion county. On January 27, 1869, she was united in marriage with Henry D. Boon, the fruit of the union being seven children, named as follows: Ida, Emmett, Dorsy, Cora, Little Babe and Claude - four of these only are living. Mr. Boon preceded her in death several years ago. The funeral will be held at the residence on Center street at 2:00 o’clock this (Thursday) afternoon, Rev. H. H. Brown officiating. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
