OBITUARY:
At the family home, No. 428 Liberty street, Salem, Oregon, Tuesday, August 17, 1897, at 1 o’clock a.m. Teddy, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Burggraf. The little fellow suffered with scarlet fever for two weeks only, and while everything was done that it was possible to do toward easing his paid and prolonging his life, by his loving parents and the best medical attendants that could be secured, he gradually sank until his spirit took its flight early this morning, as stated above. Mr. and Mrs. Burggraf have the sincere sympathy of a large circle of friends in their great hour of affliction. The funeral will probably be held on Wednesday; arrangements will be made today, and the hour announced in tomorrow’s Statesman.

BURIAL TODAY. The funeral of Teddy Burggraf will be held at the family home, No. 428 Liberty street, at 10 a.m. today, the services to be conducted by Rev. Wm. Steele.

BURIED TODAY - The remains of Teddy, the five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Burggraf, who, early Tuesday morning succumbed to scarlet fever, were today interred in Rural cemetery. The little fellow was a regular attendant at the First Presbyterian Sunday school, being a member of Mrs. Rockwell's class, and in the absence of the pastor of that church, Rev. H. A. Denton conducted brief services at the graveside this morning at 10 o'clock. Mrs. and Mrs. Burggraf have the sincere and heartfelt sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement. Mr. Burggraf is now confined to his room with scarlet fever.
