OBITUARY: 
On Sunday, Nov. 10, 1901, at the family home on Ferry and 20th streets, of a complication of diseases, Mrs. Rosanna Darr, wife of A. Darr, aged 61 years. 
Deceased leaves her husband and five children, John Darr in a resident of Salem, following the trade of blacksmithing. The others, Ida, Hattie, Mildred and Alfred, are in Oakland, Cal. and Miss Ida is expected to arrive here tomorrow. 
The funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 o’clock at the Seventh Day Adventists’ church on Mill Street and interment will be in the Odd Fellows’ cemetery.

MRS. DARR SUCCUMBED TO TYPHOID FEVER
Death of an Aged Resident of Salem on Sunday -The Funeral Will Take Place This Morning. 
Rosa Anna Darr, aged 66 years, died at her home on Ferry and 20th streets in this city, on Sunday, November 10, 1901 after a long illness of typhoid fever. Mrs. Darr is an old resident here, having removed to this state with her husband in 1862, and located near Zena, in Polk county, later moving to Salem, and has lived here continuously since, over 35 years. 
Besides her husband, Absolom Darr, she leaves eight children to mourn her demise. Stillman Darr, a son, is in the navy stationed at Manila Bay; John Darr, another son, is a blacksmith of this city. The others are: Ida, Hattie, Mildred and Alfred, all residing in Oakland, Cal., and expected to arrive here today. The funeral services will be conducted at the Seventh Day Adventists’ church, on Mill street, at 10 o’clock a.m. and interment will be had in the Odd Fellows’ cemetery.
