DIED
CHAMPION - At Chestnut farm, the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dexter Field, Tuesday, October 13, 1914, at 10:45 p.m., Mrs. Charity Gilbert Cassety Champion, aged 93 years.
Mrs. Champion was born in Portage county, Ohio, July 30, 1921. She had been a resident of Oregon most of the time for the past thirty-five years and for the past five or six years had lived with her daughter at Chestnut farm.
She is survived by one brother in Michigan and a sister, also in the east; four children, twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. With her at the last were her four daughters: Mrs. Eliza E. Field, Salem; Mrs. W. F. Folston, Dufur, Or.; Mrs. A. J. Cobleigh, Butte Falls, Or., and Mrs. A. M. Rae, Carlton, Wash. Funeral services will be held Thursday.
