MARRIAGE – A quiet home wedding ceremony occurred on Wednesday evening [7 June 1905] at 8:00 o’clock at 40 East Thirty-first street, at the home of Mr and Mrs H.R. Lewis. Their daughter, Lillian, became the wife of Mr William Bradford Crane. No cards were issued. Mr and Mrs Crane will spend the summer at Mount Tabor. [Oregonian, Sunday, June 11, 1905, 29:4]

(12y) and William B. (4y); also with family was servant Mary Conway (50y, b England, immigrated 1872, naturalized, single)

1930 CA CENSUS - Lillian L. Crane, age 47, married at age 23, b. Oregon, is enumerated with William B. Crane, age 50, married at age 26, occupation manufacturer's agent for bottling company, b. Oregon, along with children Walton B., age 24, occupation salesman, b. Oregon, Ethel D., age 22, b. Oregon, and William M., age 14, b.Oregon.  Also enumerated with the family is Mary A. Lewis, age 70, married at age 18, b. California.

CRANE - Lillian Lewis Crane, March 24, resident of Portland before moving to So. California 15 years ago. Surived by her husband William B. Crane; two sons, William B. Crane, Jr., of New York; Walton B. Crane; one daughter, Ethel C. Bittner, both of So. Calif.; 7 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Harry N. Lewis; and 1 sister, Mrs. Katherine Entler, both of Portland. Services 10:30 a.m.,Tuesday at St. James Episcopal Church, South Pasadena. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may make contributions to Lillian Crane Memorial at St. James Church, 1205 Fremont Ave., South Pasadena, California. Arrangements in care of Turner & Estevens Co. Mortuary.
