OBITUARY: 

GRAY -- At Salem, May 23, 1895, at 6 a.m. Prudence M., only daughter of Chas A. and Lillian R. Gray, aged 5 years and 10 days, of peritonitis. On her last birthday, May 13, little Prudence was taken ill at the table while entertaining her cousins, and never rallied from the first serious attack. For the past week the family have lived in the greatest anxiety, and secured all the aids of medical skill, but with no avail. The funeral will be held from the residence at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Hutchison officiating.
