OBITUARY:  Harris- At the family home in Polk county, one and one-quarter miles west of Salem, Friday, March 16, 1917, at about 2 p.m., Mrs. R. M. Harris, at the age of 56 years. Mrs. Harris became ill several months ago but has recently been improving in health and her death came as a sudden shock. She was a member of the Women’s Relief corps. Besides her husband, Mrs. Harris leaves the following daughters: Mrs. Della DeSart and Mrs. Carry Peck of Norton. Or.; Mrs. Minna Clark and Mrs. Anna Schoppert of Salem and Mrs. Eva Dingman. She also leaves a son Ed Harris and a step son, Frank Harris, both of Dallas. The body will be in charge of Webb & Clough. Funeral announcement will be made later.
