BIOGRAPHICAL:

William O. Hayden was struck by an auto Thursday night, was badly bruised and wrenched but not seriously hurt. He was taken to the Willamette Sanatorium and his injuries looked after by Dr. Byrd.

OBITUARY: 
William O. Hayden, 69, died suddenly at the State Fairgrounds this morning. The only living relatives are two nephews, Miller B. Hayden of Salem, and Ben I. Maxwell of Eola. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock at the Rigdon Mortuary chapel.

HAYDEN SERVICES WILL BE SATURDAY 
Funeral services will be held at the Rigdon mortuary chapel at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon for William O. Hayden, pioneer of this section, who died suddenly early Thursday morning at the state fair grounds. Hal Hibbard post, Spanish War veterans, of which he was a charter member will have charge of the services. Mr. Hayden had been doing special duty as officer and was also night watchman at the fairgrounds this week, and was about his duties when his heart failed him. Mr. Hayden was born in Polk county, near Eola, December 15, 1858, and was the son of Judge and Mrs. Benjamin Hayden who crossed the plains in 1849.
