Barker, who died in this city on the 2d inst., was one of the early pioneers to Oregon. He had resided in Salem twenty-two years. His exemplary walk and proverbial honesty had endeared him to a large circle of friends. Those who knew him best praised highest his sterling qualities of honor and integrity.
