OBITUARY:  At the residence of his son-in-law, Henry B. Thielsen, of this city, at 5 p.m., Sunday, December 31, 1905, William N. Bennett, late of Stafford, N. Y., after an illness of only thirty-six hours, aged 87 years. The deceased was born near Buffalo in 1819, when that place was but a small village. He was an active citizen of Erie county until he retired from active life in 18?7, when he moved to Stafford, in Genesee county, where he remained until September last, when after the death of his wife he came to Salem, to spend the balance of his days with his only surviving child, Mrs. Henry B. Thielsen of this city. He had never joined any of the fraternal societies. His genial, kindly disposition and sturdy integrity had gained for him the warm friendship and respect of a large circle of friends. The funeral service will be held from the residence of Henry B. Theilsen, corner of Capitol and Court streets, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Friends cordially invited.
