Q. Adams. Memorial service in the M.E. church in Salem next Sabbath, at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Christian Advocate 16 December 1875 p. 397 At their residence near Salem, Dec. 11, 1875, Elizabeth, wife of Bro. W. G. Adams, in her 46th year. Sister Adams was born in Wayne County, State of New York; was joined in marriage with her now bereaved husband at the age of 18; they family emigrated to Minnesota in 1864; came to Oregon in 1872, with the hope of thus improving the declining health of the beloved wife and mother. Mrs. A. was converted and united with the M. E. Church in childhood. As a wife and mother, affectionate and faithful; as a follower of the Lord Jesus, ever humble, obedient, trustful, her example is the invitation to the bereft family to follow her in paths of righteousness and with her share the Redeemer's glory. She leaves a husband and two sons - one married - to feel the loss of a Christian wife and mother. Her last days were those of peaceful resignation. She has fallen among strangers, away from former associations, friends and relatives; but, the pioneers of the "inheritance of the saints of light" have welcomed her to their everlasting habitation on high.
