OBITUARY: 

John A. Patterson died at the residence, 679 North High street, December 13, at the age of 86 years. He is survived by two sons, G. C. of Salem, and E. W. Patterson, and one daughter, Mrs. Ina Melson of Salem. Funeral will be held from the chapel of Clough-Barrick funeral parlors, Saturday, December 15, at 3 p.m. Interment will be at the I.O.O.F cemetery with ritualistic graveside services conducted by the Odd Fellows. Dr. Grover C. Birtchet will officiate.
