Jun 1842 in Indiana, is enumerated with her husband of 37 years John, age 57, occupation farmer, b. Mar 1843 in Ohio, along with William, age 31, farmer, b. Sep 1868 in Missouri, Clarence, age 26, farm laborer, b. Mar 1874 in Iowa, Charles, age 21, farm laborer, b. Jul 1879 in Iowa, and Ernest, age 20, day laborer, b. Apr 1880 in Iowa.

OBITUARY: ROBERTS -- At 3 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 1909, at the family home on Cottage street, North Salem, the beloved wife of J. E. Roberts.
Julia Ann Suidam was born at Crawfordsville, Indiana, June 24, 1842. Her early girlhood was spent in Indiana and at the age of eight years, with her parents, she moved to Iowa. On March 4, 1863, she was united in marriage to the husband who survives her. Eleven children came to bless this union, seven of whom are living. Harry E., William M., Charley E., and Mrs. U. S. Dotson of Marion, Oregon, Clarence W. of Lyons, Oregon, and Frank B. and Ernest C. of this city. Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church with which she united in 1889 and remained a consistent Christian until her decease. She lived near Marion in the country until two years ago since when with her husband she moved to North Salem, residing on North Winter street. A large concourse of relatives and friends attended her funeral on Monday, which was conducted by Rev. W. H. Selleck, assisted by Rev. W. C. Price. Daily Oregon Statesman 14 Apr 1909 4:2.
