He was born in Salem and graduated from Sprague Hight School and Oregon State University. He moved to San Diego three years ago.  He worked for the Navy as a computer controller in San Diego. He also was an evangelist for needy and homeless people. He is survived by his father, Ben of Salem; mother, Loris Lurie of San Francisco; brother, Bart of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Candice Colbath of Pasadena, Calif., and Kimberly Colbath of Honolulu; grandparents, Bertha V. Colbath of Salem, Alta Wells of Tucson, and Amos Wells of Albany.  Private family services with interment will be held at Salem Pioneer Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Union Gospel Mission, 345 Commercial St. NE, Salem, 97301. Arrangements are by Virgil T.
