One of Willard [and Lavina} sons was Chester Clyde Jefferson who was born October 6, 1888. He married Alice Elizabeth Morgan on Nov. 22, 1923. Chester inherited 27 acres of the land owned by his father and he and Alice farmed it and raised their three children there.  Clyde Jefferson in PIONEERS OF LAKE LABISH, p. 53-54 OBITUARY:  Mrs. Levina Jefferson died at her home in Howell Prairie Nov. 27, 1926, at the age of 68 years. She was an old settler of that district, having lived there for many years.  She is survived by her husband, Willard Jefferson, three sons, Raymond, Earle, and Chester, of Howell Prairie, three daughter, Irene of Howell Prairie, Mrs. Agnes Wells of Portland, Mrs. Bernice Summers of Howell Prairie; also two brothers, John and Ed Hedges, of Oregon City; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Bell, of Union, and Mrs. Helen Newel, of Clackamas, and nine grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 30th at 2 p.m. from the Webb chapel in Salem.
