OBITUARY: 

Albert Linegar, well known farmer, died at his home near Monmouth Tuesday [Feb 11]. He was 66 years of age, having been born July 2, 1874. Funeral services will be held in the local Christian church on Friday, February 14, at 2:00 p.m. Rev W.A. Elkins officiating. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery, Salem. The Smith Baun mortuary is in charge of arrangements. 
Mr. Linegar died at his home in the Fairview district, five miles south of Monmouth. He was born in Plano, Ill., the youngest of a large family. In 1880 the family moved to a farm near Hastings, Neb. where his early life was spent. Following the death of his mother he came west, spending one year in California before coming to Oregon. November 10, 1915 Mr. Linegar married Hotoqua Nellie Cade and to this union two sons were born, Arthur Russell of Portland and Carl, who resides at home. He is also survived by two brothers: Harry of Hastings, Neb., and Eli of Shenandoah, Iowa. 
In 1919 they purchased a small farm northwest of Monmouth where the family lived for 10 years. They then moved to the Fairview district where they have since resided. The following were named as pallbearers: Ed Riddell, Lyman Parker, Milton Lehman, Steve Benedict, John Heffley and George Marleman.
