OBITUARY:
BOWKER-- At the Marion county poor farm, a mile north of Salem, Tuesday, July 29, 1890, James Bowker, aged about 77 years. The deceased had been an occupant of the institution in which he died for about 4 years. A couple of months ago he came to Salem and returning home after night rolled down the river bank, striking on the rocks some fifte feet below. The fall badly bruised him and from it his death resulted.
