OBITUARY: Charles W. Boyle of this county and one of the best known of the earlier residents passed away at the Dallas hospital Wednesday evening as a direct result of bladder trouble. He was taken to that institution in the morning of the day he died. Mr. Boyle was about 62 years at the time of his death and had spent practically all his life in this county. He was a son of Dr. J. W. and Josephine P. Boyle, who located in this county about 1844, taking up a claim of 900 acres north of Rickreall. Here Charles Boyle spent most of his life. The original farm had been sold in tracts and at the time of Charles Boyle’s death consisted of about 90 acres. His wife was the daughter of Nathaniel and Lucinda D. Ford also early county pioneers. Funeral services will be held at Salem tomorrow, interment also taking place in that city. The deceased was a single man and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Rena Childers of Portland, and Mrs. Hannah E. Tatum, who has been making her home on the farm; one brother, William Boyle, who also has been living at the farm home.
