OBITUARY: 
J. Robertson Brooks Dies at Stockton. Brooks, 30, son of Mrs. Mildred Robertson Brooks, of Salem, died Sunday at Stockton, California. 
He was born June 1, 1899. Besides his widow, Merle V. Brooks, he is survived by one daughter, Gertrude Mildred, and one son, Rex Eugene, both of Stockton. He also leaves a brother, Russell M. Brooks, American Consul at Belfast, Ireland, who is here on his vacation, and an uncle, Dr. C. H. Robertson, and aunt, Mabel P. Robertson, both of Salem. 
Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist church Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock with Rev. R. L. Payne, pastor of the church, officiating. The American Legion will be in charge and interment made in the family lot in the IOOF cemetery.
