OBITUARY: 
At her residence in Salem, on the afternoon of Monday, December 12, 1887, Mrs. Narcissa Waldo Brown, wife of James C. Brown, of Brown, Fullerton & Co., and daughter of the late Daniel Waldo, aged 58 years. Mrs. Brown had been sick only a short time. At one time she was better, and it was so announced, but Sunday morning her malady took a turn for the worse, and she died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She was a lady widely known in Salem and Marion county, and greatly beloved for her gentle disposition and many charitable acts. An extended notice will appear later. The funeral will take place Wednesday, at 2 p.m.
