OBITUARY: James Ellsworth Byers, at a local hospital June 6 at the age of 72 years. Late resident of 360 Evergreen avenue. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lily Lueck and Mrs. Anna Lueck, both of Montana; sons, William H., Lee O., Harold H., all of Colorado, Ira T. of California and Martin H. Byers of Salem; sisters, Mrs. Ellen Broska and Mrs. Anna Keyser, both of Kansas, Mrs. Leora Brown of Oregon; brother, Fred L. Byers of Kansas. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held from the Clough-Barrick chapel Monday, June 12, at 2 p.m., with interment at the IOOF cemetery. Rev. Dean Poindexter will officiate. Oregon Statesman 8 June 1939 5:1
