Byrd Relatives Are Sought; No Funeral Plans -- Search for relatives of Theodore E. Byrd, local district manager for a vacuum cleaner sales organization, who shot himself while lying on a bed in a local hotel room Friday forenoon, was still being conducted last night. Funeral services are being held up pending outcome of the search. Byrd's suicide was believed caused by despondency through brooding over family troubles, coupled with a shortage in his accounts. N. Schnelder, Portland representative of the concern for which Byrd was working, said it would take two or three days to make a complete check of Byrd's account with the company since stocks of goods were located at Albany and Corvallis as well as in Salem.
