OBITUARY: A DEAD CELESTIAL -- At 4 oclock yesterday morning Jong Ah Lock, a Salem Chinaman, died of consumption at the home of his cousin, Sam Dick, on Commercial street, and was buried according to the Chinese custom yesterday at 2 p.m. Ah Lock had been sick quite a while and was in Portland undergoing treatment when he ran out of money a week ago and came up to his cousin to get money to pay his doctor bill and was to have returned to Portland Wednesday night. He had another cousin here, Jong Ah Tom, who keeps the store on Liberty street. Besides these he had no relatives or friends in the city.
