W. H. Adair purchased Lot #220 in 1885 for $25 and Adair is shown on the Lot Ownership Map of 1966. 1880 CENSUS - K. L. Adair, age 40, b. Missouri, is enumerated with husband W. H., age 46, gardener, b. Indiana, along with C. E. male, age 13, E. C., female, age 9, Eva L., age 6, W. M., male, age 3, and V. E., female, age 10 m's, all born in Oregon.

BIOGRAPHICAL: W. H. Adair md. "Kate" Katherine Lucie Kemp, March 11, 1866 at Oregon City. Marriage record reads as follows: State of Oregon Clackamas County In the matter of the application of Wm. H. Adair and Louisa C. Kemp for Marriage Licence E. C. Adair beign duly sworn says. He knows the said Wm H. Adair to be over the age of Twenty One years. and the said L. C. Kemp to be over the age of eighteen years, and that there is no impediment to said Marriage to my Knowledge Subscribed & sworn to before me this 9th day of Mar. 1866 E. C. Adair J. M. Bacon Clerk

OBITUARY: 
VANCOUVER, Wash., March 27 (Special) -- Mrs. Louise Katherine Adair, 89, died here today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. D. Moulton. She was born in Pettis county, Missouri, and crossed the plains to Oregon by ox team in 1852. She was married in 1866 at Oregon City to William H. Adair, who died in 1912. Three daughters, Mrs. Eva Heinz and Mrs. Inez Grenfell, both of McMinnville, Oregon, and Mrs. Moulton, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive. Funeral services will be held at the Macey mortuary at McMinnville. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Salem.
