OBITUARY: Laura E. Clark, 91, of 1020 Cross St. SE died Thursday at a Salem nursing home.
She was born in London, England. She came to the United States as an infant. She lived in Salem for a time, then moved to Redlands, Calif. In 1915 she received a master's degree in zoology from Stanford University. She taught school in Redlands until returning to Salem in 1976. She was a Sunday school teacher and member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Redlands, and St. Paul Episcopal Church, Salem.
Survivors include sister, May C. Irwin, Salem, and several nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services have been held. Private interment is planned at Salem Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the Oregon Hears Association.
