OBITUARY: 
Mr. J. C. Clark, familiarly known in this community as "Tanner Clark," died at his residence on Piety Hill in this city, yesterday morning, Oct. 2. Mr. Clark was a good man and worthy citizen, and for many years had been a sufferer from asthma. His age of 57 years. The funeral will take place from his late residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
